The end of Summer

It's really feeling like fall is in the air here.  The days are getting noticeably shorter, the lake temps are getting cooler and we're getting more and more rainy or cloudy days.  Our first summer has passed quickly in the new house and Shelton almost feels like it was years ago.

The last few weeks since the tri have just flown along...we had our Housewarming party on Aug 28th and quickly realized that we needed to get going if we wanted to have concrete complete before then. We brought in quite a few people to provide bids and then got to work leveling so that the forms could go in.

The company that we went with did a fantastic job. Communication was great, the quality was excellent and they completed on time.

We're thrilled with how it turned out both in front and out back.

We made a little "L" shape near the window to the right side of the photo so we could put the hot tub there....eventually. The big circle is a fire pit that wasn't ready for the party, but should be good any day now.
