8 Months New

Logan turned 8 months new how time just is flying by.  These monthly shots are getting harder and harder since he's just moving all around these days!  He's flipping right to his tummy almost immediately when we put him on the floor and is scooting everywhere.  It looks like he's developing a blister on his left foot where he pushes off!

Stats:  approx 19.5 pounds, approx 29.5 inches long.  Approx on all of those.  The dude does not want to stay still when we're trying to stretch him...and that yard stick is super accurate.

Everything is in his mouth....metal pots, wooden furniture, random pieces of paper.  You name it - it's in there.

Even this simple toy- he's trying to crawl on top of, leverage off, etc...

No more new teeth...

He's tried all sorts of foods at this point.  We FINALLY had success with a chicken packet last night - up until now, we've just gotten faces when we fed him various chicken dishes (like,, a whole 3 times before).  I need to get in the kitchen and make some lumpier things for him this weekend.

He does NOT like small rice puff snacks yet - or rice cakes.  He manages to gag on them and then we get massive puke / spit up (depending on how much he's eaten recently).  Last weekend - a whole container of homemade beets managed to come back up.  Awesome.

My trip to Everett this week was a success...another post on that later this weekend.  The feeding instructions I left for Joe are a crazy sort of way.

My first post-partum half marathon was a success last weekend.  Crazy hilly course (just non-stop hills - and not tiny rollers either).  I was super happy with my time (just a little over 2:13, I think - a PR by almost 9 minutes) but I was SPENT when it was all said and done.  Seriously, spent.

And to think I'm doing the WDW Marathon in 2014...and the Goofy Race and a Half Challenge in 2016.  What ?! am I thinking?!  :-)

Ah, the weekend will be here before I know it.  It should be low key - I'm pushing Logan in a local 5k race that is raising money for the Federal Govt's annual CFC.  Sunday - we're getting together with friends for dinner!  Yay!

  1. one year will be here before you know it! The blister (albeit unfortunately) is cute - a testament to his tenacity ;) power through it, buddy! In not too long he'll be breaking in a pair of hiking boots with Dad and that little blister from scooting will be a fond and distant memory.

  2. It's amazing how much bigger he looks in just the short time since I was there!
Gag reflexes...hmm, reminds me of someone! Recycled beet...not fun.
    What a cutie pie!
