Protecting....

Well, it's the weekend again.  Time to squeeze in all that awesome Logan time.  The evenings during the week are just so fast.  We try to spend as much time as possible with the kiddo...but between walking the dog, feeding the kid and making dinner - the couple hours we have with him are just super quick.

Which is why we're pretty possessive of that time.  Very rarely do I do anything after work other than a quick stop at the library or store.  Massages and chiro appts are now at the end of the workday, but not late enough to cause me to get home any later than normal.  Even stuff in the evenings has been rare...and I decline most requests to do anything.

When he gets older, things will change.  But with nursing right now and me being the one to put him to bed (because seriously - one more pumping session just so Joe can put the kiddo down just isn't appealing) - it just feels like this is the right thing to do.

  1. Adam and I are the same way, and I think you put the feeling perfectly - possessive. We don't get that much family time either, sometimes Adam gets home just as Penny is getting into the tub and then it's her nightnight nursing right after that. That's a whole 20ish minutes that he gets to see her awake. We'll get an hour and a half of "us" time, but that is also shared with eating dinner and winding down from the day, preparing for tomorrow. Tonight will probably be one of those nights. With the house being sold, on one hand we are really looking forward to weekends without the 2 hour drive, but also will miss our little hideaway from the world. No one bothered us when we were at the TTD :)
