More weekend fun!

We had another great fall weekend here.  I did some great STEM outreach over in Seattle for a couple of hours building bristle bots at the Girl Scouts' Girl Fest.  Then the rest of Saturday was doing the normal weekend stuff...

Sunday was *fantastic* - we went to Zoo Boo at the Pt Defiance Zoo.  Our friends invited us to tag along with another set of friends for this great event.  I'm sure in future years it'll be a bigger hit for the kiddos - but for this year, it was simply an excuse to put the kiddo into his Halloween costume (is it sad we knew what he'd be for Halloween before he was even born?!), hang out with friends and go to the zoo.  He's definitely starting to notice more and more animals - the walrus and penguins were popular this time - in addition to the ever popular puffins. We have such an awesome kiddo - he hung out on Joe's back for most of the time there and when he was in our arms or in the stroller - he was just checking things out.  Logan was doing a little bouncing for the puffins this time and was chatting at the penguins.  I can't wait to head back time and time again as he gets older!

Check out that awesome hand-made Yoda hat that my mom made!

After we went to the zoo and chilled at home for a bit, we headed to the Poulsbo Fish Park to check out the salmon spawning in a local stream.  We only saw one salmon...but then...

my eagle eye spied...

And, the little one...
