Thanksgiving Part 1

On Thanksgiving proper, we were invited to our friends' parents house only a short drive away.  This is L's good friend, E, so we were able to convince him pretty easily that this was going to be a fun trip.  As we pulled up and got out of the car, we could hear E welcoming us in.  Awesome kiddo.  L was a little unsure of everything at first, so he hung out on my lap for a bit...and then the playing ensued.

Both kids hamming it up for me.

Laughing and playing together...

Getting into trouble together...

Elmo?  Blankies?  Yes, please.

This was what Thanksgiving was all about - being with friends, grateful for their generosity and hospitality, letting the kiddos play.  Logan was *really* enjoying clinking glasses as we talked about what we were grateful for...

Personally, I'm grateful for friends and family, near and far...for Joe and his unwavering support...for Logan who shows me what joy is each day...and sometimes patience as well...for our jobs that provide our food, home and fun things.  And, I'm grateful to get a full 8 hours of sleep...eventually, again this will happen, I suppose.

Turkey Day part 2 is today with our neighbors!  Hooray!
